BRIEF

Users need quick access to popular tasks and documents on the Taulia Supplier Portal homepage.

MY ROLE

UX and UI Designer in a team of two for web: performed key stakeholder and user interviews, conducted heuristic evaluation, analyzed user data, researched competitors, creation of personas and user flows, restructured information architecture, designed wireframes and prototypes, and presented to Taulia's design review board.

Client project created in 2.5 weeks, facilitated by General Assembly.

APPROACH

We liaised closely with our client to ensure their business goals were being met as well.

To meet the needs of the various users, we proposed a customizable homepage featuring widgets of popular tasks amongst Taulia users and a global navigation bar. 

Our clients were pleased with our design recommendations and have plans to implement. 

RESEARCH

We examined Taulia's Google Analytics data (with over 1500 survey responses) and recruited, designed questionnaires, and conducted 6 user interviews with current Taulia users. We created 2 different personas from our results.

Most Valuable Findings:

• Main entry point for users is home
• Users had trouble finding their documents
• Taulia has a wide-range of users with various task flows
• Most frequented tasks include: New POs and Unpaid / Overdue Invoices. 

SKETCHING AND IDEATION

Based on our findings, we brought the frequented tasks to the homepage in a widgeted form. To maintain legacy of product, we utilized flat design that was modern and not too different as to confuse current users.

WIREFRAMING AND PROTOTYPING

Wireframes and a prototype were created to reflect the concerns of the users.

Homepage Key Features:

• Global navigation bar for users to find their documents easily
• Customizable dashboard to meet the needs of each customer
• New POs and Unpaid Invoices to the homepage

NEXT STEPS

Due to limited time and access to Taulia's user base we created a list of high-priority recommendations:

• Conduct usability testing with current and new Taulia users of the current prototype
• Focus on invoicing and PO process from start to completion of task
